Hands-on Digital Media

Hands-on Digital Media

Program Overview

>

Television, video and multimedia industries require personnel who are able to work as a member of a production team and as a self-starting individual who takes initiative and responsibility for production work.

During the Hands-on Digital Media program students will learn what it's like in a working multimedia production environment as well as how to get started in the Digital Media industry.

Students will learn basic technical skills in photography, photo editing, audio recording and editing, video production as well as website creation. Because communication is a vital part of the Digital Media industry, students will also take on the roles of writers, interviewers, interviewees, and project planners.

Throughout the program students will practice organizational strategies such as brainstorming, mind mapping, and story-boarding. They will be encouraged to work both in groups and as individuals.
