Rapid eLearning: Ebola eBriefings for Doctors Without Borders
September 30, 2014
Learning Agents has joined a team to collaborate on a series of eBriefings for teams going on Ebola missions to West Africa for Doctors Without Borders (Médecins sans frontières - MSF).
MSF Canada has set up an e-learning unit with instructional design provided by the Currents Group, with support from Learning Agents.
The eBriefings will be developed for the Operational Centre in Geneva, Switzerland (OCG) and will help orient the international and national teams working on overseas missions, as part of a blended learning strategy. These 12 Ebola briefings need to be produced by October 20 in order to meet the urgent learning needs of the additional MSF teams now being deployed in West Africa to stem the epidemic. This will require lean e-learning development processes and an efficient distribution of effort from the international team.
The multimedia eBriefings will be produced as learning objects using Articulate Storyline and delivered from the Moodle platform managed by the Operational Centre in Barcelona, Spain (OCBA).
UPDATE: October 27, 2014
Learning Agents has delivered this project, including instructional design and development for 4 of 11 chapters, and revisions and quality control for all 11 chapters. See the MSF Canada article for details, including a link to the e-Campus Moodle website with the open learning resources.
